CWT - 2013/09/11 12:57 CWT sprint durant la semaine, parfait pour les retraités ha ha!

These events will be 60 minutes in duration and held on the SECOND & the FOURTH Wednesday of each month.  Six bands are to be used – 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 and 160m.  Suggested frequencies are from 018 to 028 kHz up from band edges, plus or minus as activity dictates.  There will be 3 events at times that favor different geographic areas on this same day.  A member can participate in any or all of these.  Each of these is also open to non-members.  However, you must submit separate results for each one.  It will be a good opportunity to meet other CW fans who may be interested in CWops membership.

Purpose: Meet and greet and show activity on the bands.  It’s a good public relations opportunity for CWops for those who haven't heard of us yet.  It’s also an opportunity for interested non-members to garner the required nominations for membership.

Times:  On the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 1300 - 1400z (favoring Asia/Pacific); 1900 - 2000z (favoring Europe/Africa); and 0300 - 0400z –Thursday (Wednesday evening in US/Canada).

NOTE: See Scores Page for exact dates of CWT each month.

Exchange:  Call "CQ CWT".  New Exchange:  Just send your First Name and CWops member number. Non-members will send First Name, and State, Province, or DX Country Prefix.  This will allow most operators to use a general-purpose logging program or a paper log if necessary.  A dedicated CWOPs module has been written for N1MM by Nick, NA3M.  Other logging programs are also available. See our website for more information http://www.cwops.org/software.html

Scoring: The final score can be calculated by counting 1 point per QSO (work a station once per band only) and multiply total points by the number of unique calls worked.  If you had 75 QSOs with 40 different calls, your score is 75 x 40.  State which power class: QRP, LP, HP.

Reporting:  Report results by time segment: CWT-1300, CWT-1900, CWT-0300.  Scores must be submitted within 48 hours to be included in our listing.  Thanks to Bruce, WA7BNM, everyone can post results on the 3830 reflector.  Use this address:
http://www.hornucopia.com/3830score

Fill out the appropriate section for the time period.  No awards presented.  We will post the complete results on our Website and Reflector each month: http://cwops.org/scores.html

Re:CWT - 2014/03/30 11:34 Hello CW Fans!

Starting this Wednesday, for a two-month trial period, we will have CWops Tests every week. If weekly CWTs are good, we will continue. If not good, we will revert to two per month. Vote with your keys.

CWops Tests this Wednesday at 1300Z and 1900Z and Thursday at 0300Z. You don't have to be a CWops member--everyone welcome.

http://www.cwops.org/cwt.html

Exchange is NAME and CWops Number. Or, if not (yet) a CWops member, your STATE/PROVINCE/DX PREFIX.

CWops Test suggested frequencies are 28 to 38 kHz up from band edges, plus or minus as activity dictates. As always, please be particularly considerate of ongoing QSOs, DXpeditions, and W1AW portable operations.

Ten-meter rally 28.028 at 1930Z. Let's leverage ten meters by congregating at 1930Z instead of spreading out over the whole hour.

Lots of Qs or just a few, please submit your results for each session at http://3830scores.com/ .

The first rule of CW is to have fun and to share the fun.

CW Exuberantly,

Hank, W6SX

Mammoth Lakes, California
