We did not make as many contacts this time around as we had planned. The sun did not give us very good propagation on 10m as might be expected at this time of year. 80m was also a bit disappointing - one operator even fell asleep at the radio during the night! 40m was a zoo as usual but 15m was the band of choice. 15m sounded like 40m for Europe with wall-to-wall QRM but we just could not get over the pole. Not a single JA was heard on 15 even though they were spotted many times from NA! 20m was also quite decent being open until past 22:00 local time. We got our single only JA contact on 20m. I finally got my zone 23 for WAZ SSB with a QSO with JT5DX. I waited 3 years for this! At least we all had a lot of fun as a team!
