My first time on WAE contest so it was only a few hours S&P only over the weekend due to very busy schedule.
The bands were just not performing; a lot of QRN and my Hydro noise was back in full force on Sunday. A fun contest though. Looking forward to next year!

Re:WAE SSB 2015 - 2015/10/03 12:24 Just for the records as it looks like it is the 1st SOLP Canadian position :

VA2EW
WAE 2015 SSB SO LP
op time : 27H

band  QSO   mult   QTC
80         9         9
40      114      31     109
20      220      38     263
15      124      34       95
10         0
TOT    467     273    467

Score : 254982

At the end of the first hour, only 4 QSO's in the log, the 20m was closed and the 40m blocked by a K=5 condition expected to stay until the morning. So, knowing that nobody in my area could do better, I went to bed and effectively started the contest at sunrise. So the 27hours out of 36.
Interesting to see on 80m how some have good RX and some very bad. I cannot understand how guys seriously contesting with 1.5KW and coming S-7 are not able to receive 100W stations.
By the way, I am currently discovering the LP operating and I am very surprised to see how easy it is to maintain a pile-up with only 100W. Of course It needs to often change the run frequency because you can not play with your elbows but that's not a big deal with the P3. Additional as the run are slower, you can use more SO2R.
