This is my first "full time" WPX SSB. The contest started very bad for me since all the antennas were under ice cover after a freezing rain. Got my SteppIrr yagi working properly only on Saturday noon. The propagation was very good on all bands (except 10m to EU) on other side as a compensation. The best rate was 137 q/h.  Still too far from leaders. Heard Gilles, VA2EW, George, VA2EN and Guy, VE2BWL constantly running on bands.

Congratulations Victor on a nice effort!

My friend Cliff came up from Ontario so we operated Multi-Single.
Murphy hit our station this weekend as well. Equipment problems essentially cost us all of Friday night and Hydro noise wiped out 80m on Saturday night and gave us a hard time on 20m even though it was the best band. No 10m for us so we essentially stuck with 15m and 20m during daytime. 40m had good propagation but it was a real zoo. The propagation had very noticeably declined for this time of the year. Signs of future conditions?
