Very tough conditions with no 10m activity and power line noise on 20m all day Sunday making it very hard to copy stations. Some nice openings on 40m to VK, and the Middle East.
Thanks to all who called us!

There was pretty nice propagation for a bottom of the Solar Cycle time. The 80-40-20 meter bands were "overpacked". 15 meters was open to EU on Sunday. Bot most of EUs didn't realize that and keep jamming 20 ))) The 160 was amazingly open to DX but since multipliers could be worked on other bands much easier there was not a point to do that on 160. So there were not too many stations over there mostly Multi OPs stations and Jeff K1ZM working SOSB-160.

Worked VA2EN team on few bands. Once I've worked George and another time I've worked sombody else. Good team work guys! Keep going ))

Re:CQ WPX SSB 2017 - 2017/03/28 14:48 Bravo Victor and George's crew. SSB is probably the most difficult mode with all the QRM etc.

Re:CQ WPX SSB 2017 - 2017/03/28 22:32 Nice score Victor, congratulations!

Your quiet location and excellent receiving antennas on low bands sure helps.
We wanted to try 160m but power line noise was a big problem this weekend. It basically wiped out 20m on Saturday and was very bad on 160 and a bit less on 80m Saturday night. We were hoping to break 2000 Q's but not this time!
