DL-DX RTTY - 2007/07/04 23:29Allo tous, cette fin de semaine c'est le DL-DX rtty , bon contest car les DL sont généralement nombreux et ça donne un peu d'action par ces temps morts en propagation. Plusieurs catégories de disponibles avec cette année une classe à part pour les op SO2R au grand plaisir de tout-le-monde je crois bien. Le règlement au: http://www.drcg.de/
Discussion sur le forum RTTY sur la macro d'envoi CQ avec DL-DX ou bien DL DX ou bien seulement CQ DL call call CQ. Mon opinion: éviter DL-DX (double shift). Moi j'enverrai DLDX attaché, voilà.

About CW: I use to teach CW to teenagers past 10 years ago and probably still have some program. If I will find it - I will let you know. Have a fan in the DLDX, enjoy!

Not a bad idea to download the latest version of the program from the site. Simulate contest run rutine and S&P into dummy load is a must. Log several dummy Q's to see if everything runs smoothly. To check the grab function turn on an antenna and catch real qso's in order for the program to store a few calls into the grab window then back to the dummy load for simulation. Poor cndx these days but hope to cu in there. Tnx for the offer on cw training, I do have a program or two but I need to practice a bit (a lot!).
Bon programme pour simulation réelle de propagation: HamCAP 1.5 (free download). Very interesting.

Alors, samedi matin j'avais dans l'idée d'aller changer le roteur des 10M qui est strippé depuis la dernière tempête de vent et bloqué à 300 dégrès. J'avais peur d'une ouverture sur 10M., mais comme j'arrive à la station il commence à plevoir. The heck with 10 meters je me suis dit... 20M ouvert dès le debut du contest. Ça n'a pas pris très longtemps pour contacter Alex XAA. Le cluster me signale qu'on est en bonne compagnie puisque Noel RYY est déjà à l'ouvrage. Un contest des plus amusants je dois dire, peut-être à cause du fait que je n''étais pas pressé par le temps et j'ai dû quitter pendant 3 heures seulement vers midi. C'était mon dernier contest en configuration antennes actuelle. Dans les prochaines semaines je changerais le tout. SO2R pas rentable puisque la combinaison 15-20M avait 15 au chômage , 20-40 un peu mieux avec l'ennui de la 1e harmonique qui gêne passablement la RX sur 20M, et 40-80 short lived puisque 80 n'a pas été très vivant. Alex XAA sur 4 bandes, Pierre FFE, Phil FU et Claude FK sur une bande. J'ai appelé Noel mais jamais reussi à compléter le Q. Je suis très content d'avoir participé et qu' au mois de juillet avec les cndx dans le pit on reussisse quand même à s'amuser de la sorte. Beaucoup de nouveaux venus en rtty, pas tous très experimentés encore mais ça viendra. Comme celui qui pendant un couple de minutes m'envoiait: 200 200 200 200 200 . Je n'ai jamais compris ce qu'il voulait. Je lui ai demandé: CALL CALL?? Il continuait: 200 200 200... vas savoir. À la fin je lui ai donné: OK OK OK QSL 200 , j'ai reparti mes CQ et il a arrêté...j'espère qu'il file mieux aujourd'hui!! Et puis la Police...vers 15:00z je suis en run sur 14087 et il arrive: VA2UP UR SITTING RIGHT ON TOP OF A BEACON. Je reponds: BEACON?? 14.100... Il dit: YES UR RIGHT ON IT. Moi: I'M ON 14087 Il dit: UR ON 140995. Moi: IS MY RIG GONE BANANAS? OR IS IT YOURS?? Pas de reponse... Moi: CAN U CHECK PSE?? Disparu, pouff, pas de callsign, pas de SRI SRI, pas de CERVELLE non plus!! Je commence à en avoir assez de ces pauvres individus qui se prendent pour la police des frequences. Tellement d'autres choses interessantes à faire un samedi matin comme aller planter des tomates dans son jardin, rester au lit ou encore s'acheter un nouveau radio... Anyways vous connaissez l'histoire. C'était le DL-DX 2007 . Voici mon score, c'est pas la lune mais c'est de bon coeur... Bye, Fabi va2up

Well here is a quick rundown on basic setup for N1MM contest configuration. Firstn setup your 12 F keys (run mode) and 12 F keys (S&P mode), you can do this by right cliking on the keys in the entry window.
Some keys have to remain untouched as per ESM routine (enter-sends-message) and these are: Run mode F1= CQ F2= RST F3=TU F5= HISCALL
S&P mode F2= RST F4= de MYCALL
When you enable ESM (in the configuration pull-down menu), then every time you hit the ENTER key N1MM will send CQ followed by RST and TU in that order as long as the info has been entered in the entry window. In S&P ENTER will send de YOURCALL followed by RST when info is entered.
Here's what I have in these keys (note that * corresponds to yourCALL and ! to hisCALL) run mode F1 CQ {TX}{ENTER} CQ DLDX * * CQ {RX} F2 RST {TX}{ENTER} 599-{EXCH}-{EXCH} ! {RX} F3 TU {TX}{ENTER} QSL TU * CQ {RX}
The F5 is sent automatically by N1MM in ESM mode before the F2 key. It's important to leave a space wherever you see one in these sample macros. Try this in the dummy load and let me know. If it's too confusing ...it's good sign hihi Once you're ok with this routine then you can enable the mouse to do the job instead of the enter key. I often use the F1 key on the keyboard to start the CQ routine because in right next to the escape key.
