Looking for a land for Antenna tower installation - 2007/07/09 10:20 Bonjour à tous,

I'm looking for a land on country side to rent or to purchase. It should be good enough for 2-3 antenna towers installation. Also it could be nice to have it not far from Montreal. Any farmers sub-rent for 10-15 years also would be good.

I have everything (tower, antennas etc.) except the land! ))) My house neighbour refused tower installation on my back yard so I can't install something really good at my home.

If you have any info/ideas please let me know. May be some shack sharing could be possible.

merci es 73!

Re:Looking for a land for Antenna tower installation - 2007/07/10 22:28 Hello Victor,
I know how frustrating your situation might be. I have thought about renting a piece of land in the country in the past to avoid city qrm. One thing you have to consider is THEFT...  You won't always be at the station and it may became an easy pray for thieves, this is what held me back from making the move. A contest station adds up to a lot of $$$ and they don't come easy these days hihi...

Antother idea that I had shared with Alex at the time was to rent a small office space like I have now but on a much better location where several towers could be put up (on the roof). Building is in the clear and in excess of 80 feet high so all towers would be over the 100 foot mark with little investment .
I am still looking into it and may be a multi station if well organized.

Will talk more in the future about this, may be a good investment for guys like Claudio for instance that is in an unfortunate position antenna wise.

Just a project I have in my head....

Re:Looking for a land for Antenna tower installati - 2007/07/11 11:00 Oui, mes ami,
The question is: where to place the station with minimum risk and expenses and time to time use it for the contests? If combine together your ideas - we can conclude, that it is some University Club Stations! There plenty of space on the roof, separate and safe room under roof! The equipment we can bring own for the particular contest. Victor said: it can be Concordia?
