North American High Speed Meteor Scatter - 2008/10/02 03:10 Contest period: 0000 UTC Dec 11 to 0200 UTC Dec 15, 2008. The test period has been chosen to coincide with the 2008 Geminids meteor shower.

Concour en Meteor Scatter en décembre, histoire de bien finir l'année.

Nope. The omni-directional antenna isn't good for MS. Too much losses. You need one with minimum 6-8 dBd gain.

Non en effet, pour un résultat interessant une antenne yagi à gain est primordiale. Sur 6 mètres ici je possède un doublet et en MS rien à faire avec ça, vraiment pas moyen de me faire entendre. Seulement en E's.

Un jour je vais trouvé un mordu comme moi pour en faire l'essaie sur 432, il semblerait que beaucoup de puissance RF est requis. Pour le moment avec 30 watts ici pas grand chose à faire en MS. Que du direct.

Re:North American High Speed Meteor Scatter - 2008/12/11 22:39 I know what you mean Victor. If the tower is not too high try cooking on the barbecue at full blast at the base of the tower for a couple of hours.
I was looking at some propane heavy duty construction type blowers rated 400,000 BTU, they rent them for a few dollars a day (just in case freezing rain shows up before a big contest!!).
