CGQ web site has been hacked - 2007/07/30 21:12 I have to notice that our CGQ web site has been hacked last Saturday (July, 28). I have no idea why did our web site became a target! Unfortunately I didn't have the web site full backup. So it took time to re-build it from scratch and restore the web site DB from backup.

So it's almost ready for use now. I have investigated the way hackers did that intrusion. They used forum file upload option. That way they uploaded code which allowed them to replace some web site scripts in a folder by new ones.

I increased the web site security level. I hope it will never happen again. Moreover the new version of the web site will be backed up regularly.

Sorry for a temporary inconvenience.

thank you for acting so promptly. I guess these things happen sometimes, I don't see any specific or valid reason for hitting this site.
I'll post an e-mail to the group to let them know in case they are apprehensive about accessing the site.

The CGQ web site has been backed up and it's alive now. I came back to home so I'm going to monitor the web site on everyday basis. Sorry for inconvenience.

If someone would like to upload pictures or avatars please send me your files. The public files uploading has been disabled.
