y participer quelques heures. C'est vraiment le concours des concours.

Bonne chance

Rig : Icom IC-746PRO, MicroKeyer, Drake L4B/QSK
Antennas : TH-2 + Dipoles

Soapbox :
Last year I did about 550 QSOs; more than 350 000 pts for 28 hrs! Bad propagation or bad luck? I do know...

Phil, I did not know that you use another callsign and was surprised about the VE2CWTstation! Plenty of spots was in the cluster!
It was a pleasure to see many our members on the air during the contest.
Congrats to all!

Re:WAE CW - 2007/08/13 13:12 Bonjour a tous,

Congratulation to all. The world overall activity was low. The propagation was unstable due some magnetic field tricks. I did just around 40 QSOs during 2 times by 30-40 minutes. Just to be in touch with our HAM Radio community.

Re:WAE CW - 2007/08/13 16:57 Hello All.
For sure it was a great contest, maybe the best of all.
Was not supposed to be on for many hours but could not get off the keyboard.
Propagation were funny, heard very strong signals on 15m but mostly from
USA and EUrope were too weak to try. Did most of my QSO in S&P mode,
maybe it was not a good choice.

On 20m had both DX and short skip. VE3AT was peaking 30db at times.
Alexey was most of the time over S-9

Be sure I will be on the RTTY version.

73 to all

Re:WAE CW - 2007/08/14 16:15 Congratulations, Noel (VE2FWW)!
The rate is 40 QSO/hr, very good!
Which equipment did you use?
Which antennas?

Re:WAE CW - 2007/08/15 08:53 Hello Alex.
Well I was not supposedd to be in the contest..
I was using a Mark V Field here bare foot of course, and for Europe i use a 6 elements monobander on a 58 ft boom. It is not very high..It's a home made and it is at 58 ft high(optimized for Eu.)
I have 6 yagies for 14MHZ, here, the highest is at 130ft(5 elements) for ASIA.

When I play in RTTY I used 2 radios. Two Mark V field, and an MP for backup. You never know when Murphy....strikes....

Hope to see you one day in RTTY....
Regards
NOEL

Re:WAE CW - 2007/08/15 10:16 Hi, Noel,

first, as usually, I did not know that you are using so many call signs! I did not recognize you on the air and was surprised who else can be so loud on the air!
And second, it is clearly shown what is the difference between usual tribander and 6 element monobander! (Off course, you have to take in consideration operator skills as well).

Claude, I guess, you understand now my curiosity about his antennas!

But, anyways, Noel I congratulate you again, and I have to tell you, if you will seriously operate on the main contests you can bit for attending next year World IARU Championship to present the Canadian team.
