Re:2009 ARRL June VHF QSO Party - 2009/06/13 07:33 Hi to all,

I'll be there for most time of the contest.  I will miss probably 3 hours because family obligations.  You will be able to catch me on 6M, 2M and for some near stations 70cm.

Catch us on air

Re:2009 ARRL June VHF QSO Party - 2009/06/15 10:26 Bonjour à tous

Voici les résultats.

Band  Mode  QSOs    Pts  Grd
   50  CW       13      13   12
   50  USB       5      5    3
  144  CW       3      3    3
  144  USB      4      4    3
  420  CW       1      1    1
  420  USB      3      3    3
  900  USB      2      6    1
Total  Both    31      35   26
Score: 910

Ciao!

Equipment Description: Icom IC-551D (50 watts), 5 elements H-B Yagi @ 50 feet, J-38 Key

Comments:

Few weeks ago I got an old and not working but cheap Icom IC-551D, as the contest was approaching, I tried to repair and the radio was working again (RF board, PLL & audio problems) on Thursday before contest, it is still a little deaf (sorry for the people that called me but I couldn't copy), but at least I was on the air.

It was a very part time operation, but I have lot of fun during the time I was in the air, WD0T (DN94) was the most  western station worked, but I'm sure the band was more farther open to the west.  Two hours before the contest end, I hear
W2SZ calling CQ in CW, it was my only CW QSO, as the radio haven't electronic keyer, I used my more than 60 year old J-38 straight key for good old sake.

VE2JCW was my only FN35 QSOs, Congratulation to VE2ZAZ for his great effort. On Saturday I've copied a weak VA2SG giving FN48 to some station that I couldn't copy.

I hope Contest Group du Quebec will be again listed in ARRL contest results.

A bientot

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7MQSTrSAz4

Félicitations Claudio!

Went to shack at 4H45PM saturday to find 50mhz in gud shape. Worked a 102
stations, all W8 W9 until 7H45PM and this brought good promises for sunday. But
condx were vy poor sunday in central Quebec and worked 16 stations sunday, again
all in W8 and W9, last one being K5TR in EM00! He sounded as surprised as I was!  I am 2000 points down from last
years... Made up a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7MQSTrSAz4

Thanks for all QSOs and cuagn!

Also Claudio I copied a lil bit VA3WLD saturday, dont know if he is in ur area. Unfortunately, couldnt make QSO with VE3 land. He was the only canadian signal I heard, plus VE2BKL was was kind enough to give me my own grid ... for the first time!

Re:2009 ARRL June VHF QSO Party - 2009/06/15 13:46 Bonjour à tous, toutes,

Band QSOs Value QSO Pts Mults
50 40 1 40 25
144 24 1 24 12
432 19 2 38 14
1.2G 3 3 9 2

Totals: QSOs 86 QSO Pnts 111 Mults 53

Claimed Score: 5883

Félicitations aux autre participants. On se reprend au mois de Septembre...

Re:2009 ARRL June VHF QSO Party - 2009/06/15 20:21 Congratulations to all!

Good activity from VE2-CGQ land!

My modest result:

        Band  Mode  QSOs    Pts  Grd
         50  CW      10      10     7
         50  USB     63      63   42
        144  CW       4      4    3
        144  USB      8      8    5
        432  USB      1      2    1
      Total  Both    86      87   58

           Score : 5,046

Unfortunately I couldn't be in the air all the time so I missed few good 6m openings on Saturday evening. I tried to concentrate on 2m and 70cm bands but unfortunately there was low activity. Anyway I worked 2 new grids on 2m FN55 and FN30.

Thank you VE2JCW, VE2DC, VE2DSB for QSOs. J-P Merci pour lessai sur le 6m)))
