CGQ BBQ - Aug 21st, 2010 - 2010/07/06 11:45 Bonjour à tous / Hi ))

Let's try to provide the first CGQ official BBQ Hamfest))) We received few opinions and few wishes regards the possible date. So looks like - August 21st is the best date.

So we can use my backyard which is in Boucherville (the address is in the qrz.com). I have 2 BBQ - one is propane and another one for charcoal. I have also a few chairs (probably 7 or 8 so if the number of people would be more we'd need few camping style chairs) for exterior and one round table.

I can also provide a LP transceiver connected to the 2 el. tribander so we can work for fun or for result in the NAQP SSB as MOST by VA2WDQ or may be VA2RAC (if they would allow ??!) or by your personal callsignes as you wish)))

So what do you think about August 21st starting at 14:00 ( 2 PM) ? Everyone from CGQ is welcome. If the weather will be rainy we can switch on Aug 22 or cancel for another day. A weather web sites could give a pretty correct 3 days prediction.

I will be camped not far in Beloeil.
I can bring a 36X72" folding table, a Weber Q220 portable BBQ/propane Tank and
two camping chairs. I think we should vote a budget for this first CGQ BBQ.
We need to buy Beer, Wine etc. so let's see how much per person we need.
No way you pay for all. This is not the idea of the group hi.

I will try to go to meet the gang, but skip the BBQ...hihi...

Since I am in Sainte-Julie, I will go with my bicycle.

I have already meet a few boy's of the gang, but I can not miss the occasion
to shake hand with my old neighbor Claude VE2FK.

A few boy's of the group are very active and I did not have the chance to meet them.

1. Every participant can use own callsign to make as much as possible QSO's in the NAQP SSB test. Each station can be credited only once per band.

2. We'll have one LP transceiver connected to the 2 el. tribander. So all participants could work on any of 20-15-10 meter bands.

3. Every participant has 20 minutes period of time.

4. The winner will be a person who made more QSO's then others.

5. If few participants get the same score the winner will be a person who drunk more bear (wine, vodka etc.)

6. The winner will be granted by a special medal (see below):
