CQWW SSB 2010 - 2010/10/03 09:22 For your info:

VE2, CANADA (Update/Zone 2). Operator Yuri, VE3DZ, will once again be
active as VE2IM from Sept-Iles, QC (Zone 2), during the CQWW DX SSB
Contest (October 30-31st) as a Single-Op/All-Band/High-Power entry.
Yuri informs OPDX that he will be there between October 25th and November
1st. Activity before and after the contest will be on CW and RTTY, the
low bands and 30/17 meters. QSL via VE3DZ, direct or by the Bureau.

Let's create a CGQ team for the contest? Please place your estimated category and planning QSO's number to pick up most valued members for the team. As I remember the CQ WW team could have up to 5 members. Right?

Quelques heures de fun même si le 10m a été trés décevant: Il est grand ouvert depuis plusieurs semaines et a décidé de fermer ses portes pour le CQWW.
Mon plan de faire éventuellement un monobande 10m était donc à l'eau.
Résultat, essentiellement de la recherche de DX avec quelques run pour le fun. A mentionner tout de même, 182 QSO en une heure avec l'Europe le Dimanche vers midi sur 15m. Inutile de préciser que le 15m était plutôt bon.

Same problem as Victor Saturday night when the snow probably changed in ice on the 40m beam. Because the velocity coef of the metal was lowered by the ice all around, the antenna became too long and I had to use the matchbox to come back to an acceptable match.

Interessant également le baptème du feu pour l'indicatif VA2EW en phonie : une lettre en moins, c'est trés apprécié, le EW passe plutôt bien par contre le VA2 est souvent pris pour un VE2 et à partir de là, pas toujours facile de changer l'idée de l'opérateur en face...
