CQWW SSB 2011 - 2011/10/26 10:35 The new CQ WW SSB contest is coming up! Who would like to join to the CGQ team? Please announce your category and estimation (hours and QSO numbers).

I'm going to participate as SOAB LP for at least 24 hours. My estimation is to get around 1000 QSOs. Unfortunately I can't go with HP because of RFI to our neighbors. And LP for SSB is not enough for a good result.

I should be active for 20-24 hours and I hope more than 500 QSO. I’ll be also SOAB LP. LP in SSB, we’ll need good propagation. My SSB macros should be help.

Take a look on that. They said «The charts illustrate some winning techniques and will help the reader learn what strategies are important. »

Re:CQWW SSB 2011 - 2011/10/26 20:51 Hi Victor and Dany, I would like to join the team as SOAB HP. For the time, at least 5 to 10 hours, maybe more. DX and station conditions and also home tasks will tell how many hours I will participate. I don't think I will break the 250 to 300 QSO mark.

I'm planning a 24h operation and hope 500 Qs (SOAB HP).

Most of my energy goes to planing next week ARRL SS CW

If that small participation is enough you can count on me to be on the team.

I have also got reply from Yuri VE3DZ/VE2IM who will run the contest from Sept-illes, QC (zone 2). He confirmed his participating in the CGQ team!

So if we take members who claimed best estimation we got the following list:

1. VE2EBK est. 500 QSOs
2. VE2EZD est. 500 QSOs
3. VA2WA (op.VA2WDQ) est. 1000 QSO's
4. VE2IM (op.VE3DZ) est. 5000 QSO's
5. VA2OP est. 750 QSO's

I'm going to send an application to CQ WW in few hours. Good luck / Bon concours à tous!! Let's overlap our estimations! Let's keep CGQ name on top!

I am planning a multi-single operation and we plan on operating around 30 hours.
We hope to make at least over 2000 QSO's.
