Re:Alexei VE2XAA is SK - 2011/09/04 20:32 I´m very sad reading the news on Alexey´s passing, I´m out the radio in this moment, but for sure I´ll miss him and his XAA call in the future.  At least I have memories as I was his only VE2 QSO in his operation on WAE SSB contest as UT/VE2XAA (I have his QSL) , always I´ll remember that QSO

Re:Alexei VE2XAA is SK - 2011/10/10 22:22 I just learned today that our friend Alexei passed away recently. I went on his qrz.com page to see if he was going to zone 2 this year for the contest and I saw that he was silent key. I coudn't beleive it. I spoke the Alexei on August 21 a few hours before he passed away on 75 meters ssb during the North American QSO party. It was 05:15 UTC and I remember the short qso.  The amateur radio community lost a great operator. Rest in peace.
