Folks,
This is the second year of the UK/EI DX contest and the cw event takes place this coming weekend April 22/23 1200z-1200z on 80 through 10m. We'd really appreciate your support to make this a fun 24 hours so even if you can only manage the odd half hour or so you'd be very welcome and will definitely increase the grin factor for everyone!
Check out the links on http://www.ukeicc.com/ for full details of rules and log upload within 24 hours of the contest finish. Provisional sults will be published shortly after this deadline and final results including emailed UBN reports in the following week. One aim of this contest is to give UK and Irish stations, including those with modest setups, a taste of being a multiplier in a worldwide dx contest and to this end we will be sending 2 letter district codes as part of our exchange which count as per band multipliers; these are listed on the website. UK and EI stations will earn double points between 0100 and 0459z so hopefully there will plenty district codes to be worked on 80/40m then.. . DXCC are also per band multipliers for when propagation to the UK and Ireland is difficult or activity low.
Most major loggers are supporting this contest including N1MM+, SkookumLogger, SD, Wintest etc - details on the website. Please ensure your computer clock is ok as points will be lost for time d repancies greater the +/- 5 minutes.
