NAQP RTTY FEB 22-23 2014 - 2014/02/19 13:15The North American QSO Party on RTTY will be Saturday Feb 22, 2014. Party-time is 1800 UTC Saturday Feb 22 to 0600 UTC Sunday Feb 23. California-time that's 10AM to 10PM PST on Saturday Feb 22.
Rules and other NAQP information at: <http://ncjweb.com/naqp/> The friendly exchange is a Name and State (or Province or Country). Maximum power is 100 watts. Five bands 10m to 80m, and QSOs and Multipliers count again on each band! Single operators can operate up to 10 hours of the 12 hour period.
For fun with your friends, form a Team of two to five single-ops. Register your Team before the contest starts at the "Team Registration" link at: <http://ncjweb.com/rttynaqpteamreg/>
Practice is available the previous evening, Friday night Feb 21 at 10PM EST (UTC Time is Sat Feb 22 0300-0330Z) Use the bands that are open for you and use the actual messages you will use in the contest.
After the contest, check your Cabrillo file for the proper categories, as some program defaults may not be correct for you. The NAQP contests are designed for participants to be either: 1. Single-op, Non-Assisted, and Low power; or 2. Multi-Operator Two-Transmitter, Assisted, and Low power.

Par-contre, je ne pense pas pouvoir opérer beaucoup plus que 4-5 heures. J'ai des choses de prévu samedi PM et je suis en rupture de stock d'air lousse depuis le CQ WPX.

Bon on va s'amuser un peu. C'est 10 heures sur 12, breaks de 30 minutes minimum, pas de cluster, 100W max. Faudrait que les indices descendent un peu. S'il y en a d'autres let's go on fera un 2e team.

STORMY SPACE WEATHER: For the past two days, space weather around Earth has been stormy, a situation that might continue through the weekend. CMEs struck Earth's magnetic field on Feb. 19th and 20th, producing G2-class geomagnetic storms and auroras over more than half a dozen US States. Another CME is due on Feb. 21st followed by another on Feb. 22nd. The incoming CMEs are minor, but their combined impacts could add up to something more. NOAA forecasters estimate a 50% chance of polar geomagnetic storms on Feb. 21st.

Re:NAQP RTTY FEB 22-23 2014 - 2014/02/21 14:52Ouais, j'ai vu mais j'ai vu pire dans le temps ha ha! Vu les conditions je viens d'ajouter 4 décodeurs, la j'en ai 10 pour les 2 radios. Sur chacune 3 profiles de 2Tone et 2 de MMTTY. Des fois ça aide.

Re:NAQP RTTY FEB 22-23 2014 - 2014/02/21 15:42Effectivement, il faudra faire avec la propagation. On ne peut rien y changer. De toute façon, c'est le type de contest où les stations à l'ouest et au sud sont avantagées. Je vais essayé de dépasser mon score de l'an dernier. Au moins, tout le monde étant à 100w, on devrait être capable de garder mon fréquence en RUN. Je débuterai cependant avec un peu de retard, j'ai une activité en AM demain.
Je vais garder mes 2 décodeurs, plus que cela je vais être étourdi &*%+$@#
