SS CW 2009 - 2009/11/07 09:55 C'est déjà la fin de semaine du SS CW! Ca passe vite c'est pas possible!

I will be QRV for good part of this one, trying QRP SO2R. Yes, I know, quite bizarre but "if you don't try, you don't know!"

I'll be running the FT817nd in the vertical, mostly for 40 and 80, the TS480 will TX in the hexbeam on 20 and 15 maybe 10?

So I'll be looking for you guys.

Been around just for fun and the practice.
Good conditions, 80m was specially good here,
strong signals and low noise.
Vic/VA2WDQ was the strongest. Also heard GHI
strong on 40m. Worked Jean-Pierre/QRP.

Re:SS CW 2009 - 2009/11/09 10:39 Claude,

Thank you for the QSO and for the 2 point score. You got my low Inverted L  first skip ))) And all my antennas have a clean take off to North - East (EU and North East Quebec) . Actually NA is closed by my house since the Inverted L is only 9 meters up behind a house. So I work NA on low bands by a parasitic zenith skip )))

Thanks also to other CGQ guys: VE2XAA, VE2AWR, VE2FFE for the Q's in SS.

I found all bands' were good except 40 meters. What's up on your end?

SS CW is a very hard CW test. I'm still receiving CW even it's over yesterday))))

CU in the CQ WWW ( BTW I think we can put CGQ team up to the CQ WW club competition list again. What do you think? )

Victor

Re:SS CW 2009 - 2009/11/09 14:14 Good job folks.

If you there's really one place left, I could b in a team but I want to ty CQ WW at QRP level... So I won't bring much points. Put me on a spare list.

Tnx to Victor VA2WDQ and Alex VE2XAA for the QSOs and the QC mult.

I was very pleased to work 6 QRP stations.

The 40m loop worked very well as is on 40m and 20m.
I opened the loop opposite to the fed point to make it work on 80m
and I was very pleased by its performance.

Had a lot of fun as usual
