CQ WW WPX CW 2010 - 2010/05/25 10:04 Bonjour/Hello,

The new one WPX CW contest is coming up. Could we participate as a CGQ team? I'm planning to work "full time" SOAB HP (restricted) with a special call VC2W.

Who else could join the CGQ team?

I will participate the full 36 hours in SOAB HP (perhaps assisted, will decide at last minute) with the VA2EW callsign and it is a good thing that Victor will use a VC2 prefix That way VA2EW, VE2XAA and VC2W will be 3 different multipliers.

Alexei, VE2XAA also confirmed his CGQ WPX team membership. So we have already:

1. VA2EW (VE2TXT)
2. VC2W (VA2WDQ)
3. VE2XAA

So we are looking for more members to fill up our team list. In accordance to the CQ WW WPX rules there is no team member limitation. So everyone who willing to participate can join the team. If you decided to join just don't forget to put CGQ team as your club in a Cabrillio log file. We don't need to send a special application.

Last year the WPX CW CGQ team earned score around 14M. And we took 35th place from 270 teams participated from the world (except teams from USA).

Unfortunately a magnetic storm would "cover" the Earth for the next 3 days:

That would probably promote to open high bands 21-28 MHz but would definetely "slow down" propagation on 1.8-3.5-7 and DX prop on 14. Anyway everybody would be in the same conditions )))

I will participate for sure but I plan to go to the Hamfest du Québec at Sorel/Tracy on Sunday. It will be in "aller-retour" style. Because of this, operating the full 36 hours will be extremely difficult for me.

If there is someone missing to form the team you can count on me but be sure that I don't take the place of a "high scorer". (HI)

It's too bad for the incoming solar storm but as you say Victor, everybody will be under the same situation.

Les beaux parents se sont annoncés a la derniere minute pour un séjour samedi et dimanche! Bien entendu le lit d'amis est dans la meme piece que ma station

C'est dont probablement terminé pour moi, force majeure. A quand, les amis, a quand un weekend tranquille?

J'ai eu de fun vendredi soir avec 65 QSO dans le log.
