WinTest the Second Test - 2008/07/28 07:11

We made the second test of WinTest..
I was not very satisfied with this one.The network was DISABLED beause there was another station in the network that did not DISABLE THE TIME DISTRIBUTION IN THE NETWORK....
So we lost the network for a while....
I did not like the callsign instead of the station number.
For the next one (if there is one) May I suggest the following things.
1.I would suggest that every station has the same language....I suggest English... for that open wintest for the contest go to OPTIONS .>>>>Language
Choose between ENGLISH ...FRENCH >>>or GERMAN.
2. Each Station HAS TO HAVE a NUMBER, NOT A CALL SIGN..
For this go in the contest configuration ...and in the network...STATION
Write STN2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7..NOT A CALL SIGN .
3. IMPORTANT.. Next to the STN ....UNCHECK enable time distribution across the network.
Last night we lost the network for a while beause STN7 DID NOT uncheck this....SO My wintest and server detected the error....and the network was disable...because the time distribution is made ONLY by ONE station, and this station is the STN1
4. If your WinTest is already open and you want to go in the contest configuration, ....it is very easy.....give Wintest the following command....
I mean instead of writing a call in the log...Just type REOPEN..very easy.
5. I suggest opening the following windows ....GAB (alt-i)
also STATUS (alt-j) OR go in WINDOWS....check the GAB and STATUS.
6. I also suggest that we open a new log....for the next test...
7. When you want to quit the network.....RightClick on your Tunnel Icone in your tray, and choose EXIT.
I hope the next one will more funny that the second one...
If my wintest or server detect an error because of the time distribution across the network again...I will turn off the server.
