Re:IARU HF 2008 - 2008/07/14 22:37 Bonsoir,

Sorry guys for the late review but I have one rule - take a rest from a contest during at least 24 hours since a contest finished. That means during that time nothing should be taken in the shack: earphones, rigs, logs etc. ))))

We did a really good job. The score is not bad and looks like we are ahead of previous RAC teams! Congratulation to all!

I was surprised by 10m opening. I've never heard that since I got my Canadian license in 2006! That was a real pile-up on my CQ on 10 (EI-G-I-EA--EA8-EA9-YT-HA-DL-SP-F)! Sometimes TM0HQ was coming with 599+10db! Thanks to Claudio who found late opening at around 18:00 of local time.

The 40m band dissapointed me a lot. That was less then 2 hours of good propagation to EU. After 22:00 high latitude magnetic storm started and that killed all DX propagation. I think the same thing happened with 80-160m bands.

Noel and Phill we really missed you as a part of the team! Why did you prefer to work as single stations?

73!

Victor
