Re:VA2RAC IARU 2008 SCORES - 2008/07/23 08:30 Unfortunately, Noel gave corrected numbers like 2 883 096points. It is lower then VA7RAC 2002 Record - but very close. It is not bad and may be with better communication between stations we could get better result. It does really matter which kind of software we will use next time. We have to take anyone and try it as soon as possible. The best things if we will try it in 1-2 contest and then finally in the Winter RAC this year. 73! Alexey VE2XAA

Re:VA2RAC IARU 2008 SCORES - 2008/07/23 12:45 I vote for Win-test as software (I've used a couple of time N1MM and I didn't like it) and September 13th is a good date for a BBQ.

These days I've exchange some e-mails with VE2ZAZ (he is a local and very active VHF-UHF contester) and I've told him about CGQ, we will have another member soon .

May I make a suggestion
Why not try the WinTest trial version and make a real test for communications
between oprs...and also fill a dummy log...
Or try N1MM as soon as possible for communications between oprs and also see how log are and time are sync. ...
I think that's the most difficult part of the game...
Anybody has a solution I mean a software to be used with N1MM Logger..
like Hamachi for example....

If you would like to run a short test for log and time sync....
I can run my Server ....Everybody can connect via internet and see how it is working....

That's all you will need to connect to my server..
I will give you the address later to use to connect to the server...
But first try Wintest trial version......
Open it.....give the contest the name you want.....and the setup will appear...etc..

For Wintest I would suggest to download the version 3.20 instead of 3.21.0
We must have the same version ...
I have two versions here....The more stable is 3.20...
You can find it on the WinTest page download.....stable version ...install it...
Open it.....File NEW Give the name of the contest or any name....
After that a window will open..."contest configuration"

Choose the contest you want ....for the test I suggest we all choose the CQWW
DX.....Category...Multi operator multi transmitter
In this window you have Network.....Station number....Please do not write station 1...I will be the station 1 here.....Dont check the "enable time distribution....the server will do it....
If you find wintest  ok....send me an e-mail a
ve2fww@globetrotter.net  
I will send you a file named ...WtTunnel....that's an .exe....
You click on it....anf after it is down in your tray.....right click in the option....
Fill the options like this...
Broadcast Ip ad  127.255.255.255
Port number......9871

Tunnel server info......
Port number.............
Login.....................
Password.............

All these 4 informations will be sent to you by e-mail ...requesting the Tunnel.....of course when you are ready with Wintest version 3.20

When Wintest will be correctly configured, you can go in Windows......GAB....
or ALT-I  
ALso in Messages...send a gab...to all stations in the network or only to one station in particular....

Then you will return in your contest configuration and then write the station number you will be given....The master is always number ONE...

Note: in the CQ WPX rules:

(c) Multi-Transmitter (MULTI-MULTI): No limit to transmitters, but only one signal (and running station) allowed per band at any time. Use a separate serial number sequence for each band. Note: All transmitters and receivers must be located within a 500-meter diameter area or within property limits of the station licensee, whichever is greater. All operation must take place from the same operating site. Maximum power allowed is 1500 watts total output.


So we couldnt do it in the wpx.
