LES AMATEURS DU QUÉBEC OPÈRENT VA2RAC AUX CHAMPIONNATS HF IARU 2008

Les 12 et 13 jullet dernier, un groupe d’amateurs faisant partie du Contest group du Québec opéraient la station officielle VA2RAC dans le cadre des championnats HF IARU 2008.

Avec environ 45 jours pour se préparer et ce dans un vaste territoire, tous ont mis l’épaule à la roue afin de faire honneur à RAC. Un système nous permettant de s’échanger des messages à distance fut établi, mais la principale conclusion de l’expérience est que l’établissement d’un réseau nous permettant d’avoir chacun en temps réel le log complet est un sérieux avantage, pour ne pas dire, une obligation, ceci permettant d’alterner les fréquences d’opération selon les stations impliquées. Nous nous en doutions dès le départ, mais l’expérience nous confirmera que cela est un avantage certain.

Nous avons tous eu beaucoup de plaisir et avons acquis une précieuse expérience qui nous servira si nous avons à nouveau le privilège de représenter RAC. Nous remercions d’ailleurs RAC de nous avoir donné l’opportunité de la représenter.

Les fréquences d’opération et stations impliquées étaient :

160m VE2TZT
80m VE2TZT (cw), VE2DWA (ssb)
40m VA2WDQ (cw), VE2DWA (ssb)
20m VA2UP (ssb), VE2XAA (cw)
15m VE2DWA, VA2SG (cw) , VE2DX (ssb)
10m VA2WDQ

À noter que Alan VA2UK, et Nelida LW8EXF ont opéré à la station VE2DWA

C 'est très bien mais.. I have one small correction. I was working only CW on 28 MHz and all SSB QSO on 28 MHz made by VE2DWA.

And the final summary sheet from Noel is the following:

I'll wait couple days to see if somebody else have comments. I think it shld be okay oike this.

I'll make corrections Victor and probably Alan UK will do the translation.

Now, unfortunately, deadline for novembre issue was sept 15th. So I missed it. But I will send it anyway, it should be in TCA at least for january.

Re:Projet article TCA pour le IARU - 2009/01/14 20:56 Got a call at the office today at noon from my daughter Manuela that was home for lunch, saying: Papa!!! ta photo est sur la revue TCA qui est arrivée aujourd'hui...
Well it seems we made it and her excitement is well justified. TCA gave us a spot on cover page as well as the article on page 21. I feel priviledged to have been part of this special venture hoping that one day we'll be doing it again, only better!!
Congratulations all and thanks to RAC and TCA for the opportunity.

À -25 C ce genre de nouvelle nous rechauffe le coeur!!
