DL-DX 2009 - 2009/07/03 11:04 This interesting contest counts several classes ranging from limited antennas to limited time and more. Good opportunity to keep in touch with contesters and check out the slow evolution of cycle 24.
EU at a definite advantage since 10M and 15M seem to offer good openings throughout the old continent leaving us in NA begging for more solar spots.

La temperature ne semble pas encourager les activités extérieures et je pense bien pouvoir être là. Si trop de stations optent pour la durée 6 heures, les participants dans la classe SOAB pourraient trouver le temps long...
Les contacts avec DL sont bonifiés ce qui arrange un peu les choses puisque de VE2 on a un bon angle pour cette région et ils sont normalement très nombreux.

Re:DL-DX 2009 - 2009/07/06 00:02 Un contest à deux vitesses. Rien du tout pendant la journée et enfin quelques ouvertures à compter de 23:00z samedi soir. J'étais vraiment dans le 'mood' contest ce weekend et plein de bonnes intentions mais dès mon arrivée dans le shack à 7:00AM j'ai dû me rendre à l'évidence qu'on est pas encore au bout de nos peines avec la propagation. J'ai tout-de-suite remarqué la présence de Noel RYY de bonheure 'sur le piton' mais (à mon grand regret) il n'est pas resté longtemps.
L'ouverture sur l'Asie quasi inéxistante samedi matin et j'ai commencé à me tourner les pouces 2 heures après le debut du test. J'ai alors pensé que avec rien de mieux à faire j'allais m'entêter sur 15 et 10M. Cela m'a tenu occupé car on ne sait jamais si et quand on pourrait avoir avoir une réponse sur ces bandes. Avec 6 Qs sur 10M je pense aoir battu tous mes records sur cette bande depuis un bon bout de temps! Le 6e c'est nul autre que Alexey avec qui on a un 5 bander. Now I know why Alex is such a good contester! I saw him calling on a few DX stations and he just pounds until he gets through, a real fighter Alexey! Thanks for coming to get me on 20M and proposing the sweep across the missing bands, he even suggested 144Mhz hihi!!

Claude t'avais un signal jamais vu sur 40M vraiment qro. M'as tu appelé sur 20M? Je pense que oui mais il y avait d'autres stations en même temps et puis je t'ai perdu complètement.
Sur papier j'ai mieux fait que mon résultat de l'an dernier et je suis en même temps surpris et content de cela. Merci 10 et 15M ?

Oui, t'ai appelé sur 20m et j'ai bien pensé que t'avais du QRM.

Currieux, sur 40m la première fois entendu tu passais à peine, 20 minutes plustard ton signal était aussi comme du loca.

J'ai manqé Alexey sur 80m.

Thanks for 5 band QSOs - I did not expect to hear you on 28, but it was readable signal! I was suprised.
Claude, I came first day on 80m when you already left it and no way to agree the QSO. And we both was working about 6 hours - it was hard to intercept. May be next time.
Do not forget to put CGQ team in your logs, may be we will have first place in QC!
