CGQ sponsor CQWW - 2009/08/08 22:31 Le Contest Group du Québec est desormais bien connu dans les contests importants tels CQWW et CQ WPX.
Claude et moi même avons déjà en 2008 partagé les coûts du sponsorship de la plaque SOHP Canada pour le CQWW RTTY. Nous croyons qu'il soit important que le groupe montre son intérêt vis-à-vis le radio contesting à l'échelle mondiale. De plus il nous semble logique qu'une reconnaissance comme celle de recevoir une préstigieuse plaque CQWW soit offerte à une station canadienne pour recompenser ses efforts en quête de l'excellence.
Pour cela nous continuerons en 2009 à 'sponsoriser' cette plaque au nom du CGQ. À titre personnel Claude et moi sommes déjà sponsors pour Canada HP et LP dans le CQ WPX RTTY. Alors que personne n'est naturellement obligé de participer, si d'autre membres sentaient un intérêt au niveau du partage des coûts ($65 US) vous êtes bienvenus. Laissez-moi savoir svp.

Mike K4GMH est le responsable des plaques pour les WW et WPX rtty et à titre d'information je joins ici son courriel de vendredi passé.

Hello Fabi,

Thank you and the Contest Group du Quebec for sponsoring the 2008 CQ World Wide DX RTTY Contest, Single Operator, All Band, High Power, Canada Plaque. Attached is a copy of the Plaque's artwork. If you would like to continue sponsoring this plaque for the 2009 Contest, please let me know by 10 September. A change this year is the funding is required when you commit to sponsoring a plaque.

Approximately two weeks before the 2009 Contest, 26/27 September, a general solicitation for plaque sponsors will be posted on the RTTY Reflector. The 2008 sponsors should have first choice of continuing their sponsorship.

An unfortunate additional change is the cost per plaque this year has increased $5 to $65 (US). Hopefully, the $65 per plaque cost will hold for a number of years as the $60 (US) per plaque cost did for several previous year. The $65 (US) per plaque funds can be sent direct to:

Voici ce qu'on va faire, je vais donner le ok pour la plaque à Mike et acquitter les frais. Après on divisera en temps et lieu sans presse. Jean tu vas avoir une ristourne car c'est trop !! hihi
Thanks all again for helping out in letting the world know about our involvment in radio contesting. I encourage others to suggest a target contest they wish to sponsor a plaque for and we'll take it from there.

So lucky JP goes to France for a month...good for you. On trouvera un petit trou pour accomoder tout-le-monde je pense bien.
I suggest we open a new post for BBQ subject and start organizing.
