The annual 'NOEL POULIN' award project - 2009/12/22 22:35Nous avions pensé qu'avec le depart de Noel ve2ryy une bonne façon de se rappeler de ses exploits serait d'instaurer une competition annuelle au sein du groupe couronnée par une plaque pour le gagnant basée sur nos efforts en concours et selon un barème equitable.
Un projet de règlement est en train d'être rédigé et les idées et suggestions de tout-le-monde seraient à ce moment très appréciées.
L'idée de base serait de couronner comme gagnante la station ayant obtenu le plus plus grand nombre de concours avec au moins 100 Qs, peu importe le score final des contests. Pour les stations qui participent aux contests vhf - uhf un facteur multiplicateur devrait s'appliquer (exemple 25 Qs?). J'ai besoin de votre aide là dessus svp Dan, ZAZ vos suggestions svp.
La même station pourra être éligible au 'award' seulement 1 fois par 3 ans...
Following Noel's departure we has thought of initiating an annual award for CGQ members based on fairly equitable terms.
We are getting bits and pieces together in order to present some straight forward and simple rules for this special plaque. Everybody's suggestions are at this point very much appreciated.
We thought that having a competition based on the number of contests with at least 100 Qs could be a good starting point. VHF-UHF ops would benefit from multiplier factor , maybe reducing the number of Qs to 25 or whatever seems fair to our specialists. A plaque winner will be eligible for another shot at the title only once every 3 year period. Needless to say we would keep a scoring board on the site (is that ok Victor hihi?) to spice things up for the future and maybe attracting new contesters into the group and enticing the existing ones into a shoulder to shoulder competition where everybody would have a fair chance.

1- Le postulant devrait afficher ou faire afficher son "Score Summary Sheet" sur le site CGQ 2- Le postulant devrait confirmer avoir soumit son LOG avec mention CGQ 3- Advenant deux candidats au meme nombre de concours accumulés, le nombre de QSO contera (pas le pointage)

En ce qui concerne le financement, vous connaissez ma situation actuelle Claude et Fabi mais ce n'est que temporaire. Je me ferai un plaisir de contribuer éventuellement, comptez sur moi.

PS Ca me fait penser à un autre truc. Je ne veux pas jeter un pavé dans la marre. Est-ce que ce serait une idée de revoir la liste des membres de la page d'accueil? Quant à moi, Noel est membre à vie mais il y plusieurs calls que l'on entend jamais, pour des raisons sûrement valables. C'est peut-être une mauvaise idée aussi. ??

Nous devrions peut-être simplement publier une liste de membres ACTIFS, ça n'empêche pas les autres de venir jeter un regard sur le site etc. Ce sera fait pour 2010.

I suggest to live everybody in the list of members forever if they did not ask to remove their call from the list. Just few reasons for that: 1. The situation with everybody can be different, but if somebody apply to be a member - they would like to be the member. We are not formal organisation. It cost nothig to make people happy. 2. Than more people we have in the list than CGQ becames more attractive for others. 3. Than more people we have than more small sub-groups can be created by there interest: HF contests, VHF contests, shack improvement, antenna application, propagation, new technics etc.

Alexey, I have to admit I was first in bringing the issue up with Claude and his response was very similar to what you're raising here. It is certainly not my wish to see the list shrinking and you may very well have a good point. We all have our lives aside from contesting and sometimes they don't steer the same way we wish they did... It's not my place to decide here, I'm just hoping that more of us would show up from time to time as I'd love very much to get to know everybody in the group to share opinions, knowledge and friendship.

I know Gilles/TZT have done something for the guys at UMS on FD. Maybe we should go and install a contest station at a hamfest and show the guys how fun it is and how to do it hi.

I am glad to have your support about the CGQ membership. And it is a very good idea about a station set-up on some fleemarket. Usually some contest running same time and probably some of hams never even heard about! To be more attractive it must be a SSB or RTTY contest.

Les règlements sont sur notre page d'accueuil et un scoreboard fera son apparition sous peu. Voici comment on fonctionnera: après chaque concours, un bénévole en charge fera le décompte des points accumulés par les stations qui publieront leur résultat sur le forum du site et enverra les résultats à Victor par e-mail. Notre brave wdq se chargera du reste Merci Victor!! Je veux bien m'occuoer des contests rtty et modes digitaux. Claude fk s'est offert pour comptabiliser les concours cw Ils nous manquent 3 volontaires pour couvrir les concours ssb, vhf-uhf et mixtes. Faites nous savoir en rajoutant un post ci-après. Milles merci et bonne chance à tous, une petite compétition en famille est toujours bien plaisante. On comptera 1 point par concours et on marquera aussi le nombre de qso en cas d'égalité en fin d'année.
