Re:Canada Day contest 2010 - 2010/09/28 13:52 Again, CGQ members are héros hi.
------------------------------------------

Good day everyone

The results for the 2010 Canada Day contest have been compiled and
sent to the The Canadian Amateur (TCA) magazine for publication in
the November/December issue.

Given that TCA publishes on a bi-monthly (every two months) schedule,
the contest management team has reviewed the policy of not publishing
the results on the RAC web site until after the TCA.  This review has
resulted in a change in this policy.  We will now publish on the RAC
web site once the results are ready with a follow-up in TCA at the
next available publication date.

With that decision, this is the first opportunity for the contest
management team to publish results on the web ahead of the magazine
publication.

Here is a direct link to the 2010 results:
http://www.rac.ca/en/rac/programmes/contests/files/2010%20Canda%20Day%20Writeup% 20V1.0.pdf

On behalf of the contest management team, thanks again to all those
who participated in the 2010 event.  Certificates will be going out
in the next week or so with plaques sent out shortly there after.

As in the recent past, we will be emailing out printable certificates
and continue to mail the plaques to the various category winners.

If there are any questions or issues with the results, please let me know.

Re:Canada Day contest 2010 - 2010/09/28 14:01 Wow!

How fast they published the result score! I was expecting that only in Jan-Feb 2011 ))))

CGQ won 2 plaques in the Contest!

Re:Canada Day contest 2010 - 2010/09/28 22:52 Very nice. Two nice plaques for the shack and new canadian record I think you have good reason to be proud (and we are too do for you!!).
This is very hard work.

Re:Canada Day contest 2010 - 2010/11/18 07:41 From Canada-Contest Reflector:
------------------------------------

Just a quick reminder – the RAC Winter Contest is one month away.  The
contest runs Dec 18th, 2010  0:00 to 23:59Z.  Rules are here:
http://www.rac.ca/en/rac/programmes/contests/files/2010%20Canada%20Day%20Rules% 20English-French.pdf

Three items I hope to bring to everyone’s attention:

ONE:  During the RAC Summer Contest, there was only a few official RAC
stations active.  In speaking with one of the RAC directors, he
indicated that folks should request use of their respective provinces
RAC callsign about a month before the contest.  So – the time to ask
is NOW.

The process is easy.  You MUST be a member of RAC, and you need to ask
the respective provincial director for permission to use the call.
Its as simple as that  Here’s hoping we will be able to activate
ALL the respective provincial RAC calls.

TWO: After the RAC Summer Contest, one common complaint on 3830 is how
WE (Canadians) operated (phone) on 40 meters.  Looking at the rules,
7075 and 7225 are the suggested frequencies.  If you are operating on
40 phone, please spend some time on or near 7225 (ideal) or above 7175
– the U.S. General Class portion of the band.  I gather the issue is –
folks hang out in the 7050-7100 part of the band and only work other
Canadians.  This makes it hard for U.S. amateurs wanting to contact
us, and pick up those all-important multipliers and 10 point QSO’s.

THREE:  This is OUR contest, and folks around the world want to work
US.  Even if you are a small station, please spend some time calling
CQ/running.  Lots of folks want to work YOU, and you need to call CQ
for them to find you.

Hope everyone gets on and has some fun.  Time to wave the flag and let
our National pride show!

Re:Canada Day contest 2010 - 2010/11/18 09:41 Yes Victor, would be nice to have VA2RAC operating on 5 bands.
Of course winter timing is a problem but will see.
Anyway, for sure few members could do the job.
Let's see who could be on the air for the next winter RAC contest
and will rent the call.

On verra.
Oui pour Juillet j'y pense hi.

A suivre
