By the way I received this WE the confirmation from ARRL that my 5 bands DXCC + 4 bands endorcements which makes the 9 bands DXCC have been validated.

At this date, there are only 3X160m DXCC achieved in Quebec :
VE2FYR, VA2WDQ and VE2TZT. I then guess that Victor will be soon the next one to achieve a 9 bands DXCC in Québec.

Gilles congratulations!

That's a big achievement! I'm very close to the 5BDXCC. I have confirmed more then 100 DXCC on 160-80-40-30-20-17-15. Just need to get few DXCC entities on 10m be confirmed for the 5BDXCC. Worked already more then 110 countries on 10m. Still need to work about dozen DXCC on 12 meters. I hope that wouldn't be a big deal since solar activity is coming back. I've never had a good antenna for 12m. But now my SteppIR DB-11 is on it's way )))

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 08:06 Confirmations are the big deal of the story, far more difficult to get the qsl than making the qso's... too many old fashion dx operators still not using LoTW (OR SEEKING FOR $), so bad.

This winter no H1N1 virus but  the group got a steppIR epidemic : VA2UP, VE2SB, VE2AXO and now I learn it is your turn Victor...
Good, very good, our group is going to show that we stay at the top oh ham radio technology in QC, congratulation to all of you.

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 09:40 Gilles,

Thanks)) What's about getting DXCC on 6 meters and to close 10B DXCC? ))) I have already worked about 40 DXCC on six. But that's only beginning of a long way..

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 09:50 It is permitted to think about that with the coming sun maximum, you are in advance on me, I have only 19 countries on 6m.

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 12:32 Congratulation Gilles, your 9 band DXCC is a great achievement. I'm very impressed.

Congratulation also to all in the group who made the RuDX.

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 19:17 Congratulations Gilles for your 9 Band DXCC. Whooww !  I don’t have your patience…

Too much QSOs and QSLs for me.  338 QSLs is enough.

Congratulations again

73 Dany

P.S. I have already worked about 25 countries for WAP (Work All Pirate Award) but I have only 7 confirmed…

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 21:36 Thanks Dany,

Effective on 10 10 2010 you will need two more QSL's : 440...HI

I do not either like QSL cards and green stamps posting, too much paper makes me coughing. 75% of my confirmations are from LoTW and most of the QSO's are comming by themselve with contest participations.

I did not know the wap but I guess what it can be : Those expeditions not approved by ARRL ?

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/22 22:30 Victor,
another very honorable result! Bravo!
Gilles my sincere congratulations for what I think is far more difficult to achieve than meets the eye. On paper it sure looks good but to actually live it 'on the air' must be something that few will ever experience. Bravo encore.

Re:Russian DX Contest 2011 - 2011/03/23 18:13 Affirmatif Dany,
