CQ-WW RTTY 2011 - 2011/09/10 22:50Je me prend d'avance cette fois pour le post car le contest est d'avengure, the big one naturellement et j'imagine plusieurs membres seront là pour représenter le CGQ. Je travaille depuis un couple de semaines sur la station et à ce stage je ne sais pas encore dans quelle catégorie je tenterai ma chance. Le WW est naturellement comme tout-le-monde sait déjà, très éprouvant et je me rappelle encore le feeling de l'an dernier d'épuisement total qui a duré quelques jours malgré le fait que je n'ai pas fait les 48 heures (jamais fait ça d'ailleurs).
Don aa5au a posé une question fort intéressante sur le forum rtty sur comment essayer de passer à travers ce 'iron man contest' de 48hrs. Plusieurs ont répondu mais je retiens une bonne réponse de la part de Ed w0yk (p49x) qui donne en référence un bon article de Randy k5zd déjà paru dans le NCJ. Je me permet de vous donner ici le lien, ceci vaut la peine d'être lu.

There is one day left before the Contest. I guess a lot of CGQ members will participate. As I see the RTTY is the most popular mode in our group ))) Are we going to create a CGQ team?
from CQ WW RTTY official rules:
X. CLUB COMPETITION:
The club must be a local group and not a national organization.
Participation is limited to members operating within a local geographic area defined as within a 275 km radius from the center of club area (except for DXpeditions conducted by members living within the defined club geographic area). Club contributions from DXpedition scores are a percentage of the number of club members on the DXpedition.
To be listed, a minimum of 3 logs must be received from a club, and a club officer must supply a list of participating club members to the Contest Director.
Does that mean we have to send a CGQ members list BEFORE the contest?
I'm going to participate as SOAB LP part time. I have some renovation work planned on this weekend. Anyway I hope to get 300+ QSO's.

all we need to do is to mention the name of the group on the log when we send it in. Automatically the group will get registred. As far as the 500km radius rule I had asked Paolo (sk) at the time he was the log checker for WW and he had told me that for our group it was ok even if some members may be a few extra km. out of the range so all CGQ logs turned in will count for the group total score. It should be a fun contest, this morning I was hearing some 10M sigs coming in and actually worked a couple the last couple of days.

Don't worry about that 500 km radius. I checked on qrz.com the distance from my QTH to Claude's and it is 378 km. The distance from here to your QTH is 244 km. I think we are all well inside that 500 km radius.

Bonsoir ou bonjour à tous, Voici mon meilleur résultat à date dans un concours peu importe le mode et dans le moins de temps en plus. Mais ça sera sûrement la même chose pour vous tous car les conditions étaient les meilleurs (dans les hautes bandes en tout cas) que je n'ai jamais vu (pas pour le 20m par contre) et donc, j'ai fait bcp de stations sur le 15m un record pour moi. Le soleil était de la partie enfin avec un flux entre 150 et 190 WOW!!! Pour moi c'est du jamais vu car je n'étais pas actif quand le soleil l'était. Mais je suis revenu en 2007 sur l'air pour le retour du soleil en action mais il s'est fait attendre bcp. J'aurais fait bien plus de 10m si j'avais eu un ampli qui ne me lâche pas sur 10m. Mon SB-220 quand il est chaud après un certain temps sur 10m, il prend du temps à monter en puissance (seulement sur 10m). Pourtant le keying se fait normalement mais la puissance ne monte pas et d'un coup, il monte tranquillement à pleine puissance donc les autres ne captent que la fin de la tx donc, pas de chance là. Pour le 40 et 80m, on repassera. Merci à Fabi à la toute fin sur 40m (dernier contact), Louis VE2EZD au tout début sur 20m, VE2AXO sur 40m et VE2SB sur 80m
