Mont Hereford is a nice place to operate from. Not many people on the summit, close to the US border, an easy drive to the summit and lots of room to set up. Downside - many many deerflies! 6 meters started to open a bit after 19:00 UTC, and we had small pile-ups but it suddenly closed down after 21:00 UTC. It started to get a bit cold on the mountain and very cloudy so we started to pack up around 22:00 UTC. 2 meter band was very disappointing. This is the second time we operated VHF portable on a mountain-top with all battery power and it was very enjoyable. Thanks very much Eamon & Dan for the fantastic team effort!
Today I operated as VA2EN single-op for about one hour at my home QTH.

The propagation was all to the south and west of us here in VE2. Thanks Gilles, Victor, Jimmy, Vittorio for the contacts!
