CQ WW CW 2014 - 2014/11/27 09:49 Bonjour/Hi,

Are you ready?

I'm probably going to run as SOAB HP(A) if the last wind kept  all my antennas up. I still don't know. Going tomorrow morning to the St-Zephirine shack to check that out. Anyway something should survive ))) So the worst I could run SOSB by using the rest of survived antennas.

CU in the contest! Please don't forget to note Contest Group du Quebec as your CLUB!

This year a propagation was lightly worse vs last year. Anyway it was great except few hours in the first night when 80 and 160 m were tough. Thank you guys for all the sports especially Dany and Claude. That was really nice and in time )))

Dany, I have finally got my 2 phased verticals on 40 work. That really helped a lot. I have re-install my BEV to EU. That really improved my RX a lot. Was using BEV for RX all the way except few QSO s SA and VK/ZL-OC.

Re:CQ WW CW 2014 - 2014/11/30 20:01 Hope I had more time. Condx were good here except some noise on 20m. Vic your signal was very loud and vy CLEAN and no comments on your CW, you are a PRO.

Re:CQ WW CW 2014 - 2014/11/30 21:03 Hi Everybody,

Congratulation for your good job, especially Victor with an impresive qso number.

On my side, I had the station to re-built after the SSB part and no antenna for SO2R, so I just worked assisted a few hours of night around sunsets/sunrises local and Asia on low bands expecting new DX/zones(I am just missing Z23 and 24 on 80 to get 200 zones on 5 bands WAZ)  and fixing the problems comming with a new instalation.
I have changed the orientation of the station so now I have an easy and direct access to the back.
I worked a new one on 80(#263) and one on 40 (#315) . No zone 23 heard on 80m , JT5DX was supposed to show up with a brand new 3el yagi at 40m but nothing. I heard 2 chinese stations on 80m but they were unable to ear NA and were working only some JA`s.
Surprisingly the 80m signals from Asia were coming the two mornings from S-O, confirmed with at the same time the beverages and the 4 square.
I was very badly surprised by the bad evolution of the behavior of sations calling a DX multiplier. Some are calling up to 5 times their callsign over the transmission of the DX station. I do not remind it was the case a few years ago. Perhaps the aging of population ?

Callsign VC2T
Band QSO CQ  DX
160   88    10  12
80    584   26  76
40       1     1   1

score 195.930 category assisted.

I expect to participate more seriously on ARRL 160m next WE.
