Re:Squalo sur 6M? - 2008/08/12 13:30
Hi Victor,
No, I have not tried the Perseids yet. I don't have a beam on 2M so I figure it is probably not worth trying. Maybe I'm wrong.... When I put up my 432 EME array, I sacrificed some antennas... On 2M, I now only have an EggBeater II omni antenna (horiz pol at 0 degree, circular pol in elevation). Not bad for terrestrial. Yesterday I talked to a guy in Granby, 250 KM from Aylmer. Some tropo help for sure. In the ARRL VHF contests, I usually can work stations 500KM away. But it remains an omni antenna...
Regarding your 6M antenna suggestion , there are things I don't see in the picture, like where the feedpoiont is, how to adjust the matching, what portion of the rectangle is insulated, etc. If you have more details to provide, that would be great. As for the MMNA software, I don't know this one. I have searched for "MMNA" in Google but could not find anything relevant to antennas...
Thanks again
